Our Beliefs

We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, and that the Bible is the divinely inspired word of God that serves as the final written authority for living out the Christian faith.

We hold to two ordinances of the church, established by Jesus and the Apostles-Believers’ Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

We believe that committed individual Christians can and should approach God directly, and that our individual gifts of ministry should be shared with others. Paul states that “apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers” all work for the “building up of the body of Christ”.

We support religious freedom and respect the expressions of faith by others.

We take seriously the call to evangelism and missionary work.

We acknowledge that God’s family extends beyond our local churches, and that God calls us to cooperative ministries, with other believers.

We are a people of prayer, purpose and passion.

We affirm that the priesthood of all believers arises from a conviction that all who truly seek God are competent to approach God directly.

We take to heart the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19—-the call to evangelism: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you”.
